Two little monkeys!

We were lucky enough to have a visit from the Campbells on the weekend. We haven't seen them since Christmas and it's always a joy to see James run amok with his cousin Finn.

James took great delight showing him around the yard and demonstrating how he throws stones at the neighbours fences... Finn couldn't believe his luck when we didn't stop the fun! (We've taught James to throw them at the fence instead of onto the lawn where the occasional stone has met with lawnmower blades... Ouch!)

They checked out the street for any signs of movement...

And then, Sunday morning, we took Em, Pat and Finn to the super park for a play!

We think they enjoyed it a lot!!!!!

We're sure going to miss being walking distance from the super park when we move to the other end of town in a bit over a week. But I reckon being in our brand spanking new home will compensate for any sorrow!

2 weeks to go...

2 weeks til our estimated completion date... How exciting...

A lot of things are almost finished - but considering it's been a while since I uploaded any pics we thought we'd post them anyway, finished or not...

Garage door installed on Monday...

Verandah framework, posts and gutters installed early this week. Just waiting for the Colorbond roofs...

My big oven and stove top - sauce and relish all round next year! (Glass splashback to be installed soon...)

Dishwasher and taps installed (although we're still waiting for the replacement benchtop after this one sustained a bit of damage while being installed...)

Lights almost all installed...

Laundry trough and wall and floor tiles finish off the laundry...

Tiles and bath all in place in the bathroom...

Garage door from the inside. The garage feels huge while empty!

And the ensuite with tiles in place...

And the throne... ;)

So close to moving in time we can almost taste it!

'Cuggle > Poto' and bath time...

So James has held Lucy a couple of times since she was born, and while Jacqui was here we took each hold as an instant photo opportunity.

James must have got used to the attention of the paparazzi during that time...
On Tuesday morning, James asked very nicely for a 'cuggle' with Lucy. And, after hopping up onto the couch and me placing Lucy into his arms, he then asked for a 'poto'. Of course! That's what happens when you cuddle the baby isn't it?

He then gave approval to the photo and started to name her body parts again... The shot captures him telling me where her knees are! (And fortunately nowadays he doesn't have to poke her eyes when he shows me where they are!)

Last night James helped out with Lucy's bath for the first time. And he thought it was pretty cool!

He squeezed the washer so it dripped all over him and the bench...

And Lucy...

He poked her belly button to within an inch of her spine!

And then, thought he'd take a dip himself!

Matt just missed getting the photo of him kicking back (fully clothed) in the warm bath with his arms resting on the sides. What a character!

Matt and I are so delighted with our beautiful little possums... We're not sure life can get any better than this!!! (Except maybe when we move into our house in just over 2 weeks time!!!)

More Lucy...

Before I put some more photos of Lucy up - I had to blog James and Matt's latest game in the backyard. Yep - it's now horsey time! James thoroughly enjoys this game and thinks it's the best game to play at the moment...

But here they are, due to popular demand. I must admit I'm already being one of those parents who have a million shots of the first baby but not so many of the second and subsequent babies...

Will endeavour to change that...

Thanks Jacqui (& Mum)

We've been so lucky to have had Jacqui staying with us since Australia Day. She didn't have to be in Coffs til this week to start work and uni so she was kind enough to be our live in babysitter while we waited for Lucy to decide when to be born...

James loves his Aunty Jacqui so much and has adopted a unique, French kind of way of saying her name (...attempting to describe it... it sounds like 'Jacques - i' but with a soft J). Jacqui and James spent many an hour playing in the water outside (somehow Jacqui always ended up completely soaked????) and reading stories and doing drawings...

At a time when my energy levels were pretty low, he was a lucky little boy to have a doting Aunty to entertain him!

And although Lucy is a little bit little to tell me what she thinks, I can tell she's pretty besotted too...

Thanks again Jacqui, we really appreciate you giving up nearly a month of your summer holidays to help us out and look after and love James as much as we do...

Oh, and I had to blog this photo of a pretty happy trio... Thanks for coming down and helping out too Mum...
