The start of a new era...

A little boy we know has just got his first Auskick bag... He's a bit young for full-on Auskick but he's got friends in high places...

It's the start of a new era...

Sleepover at Nan and Pa's

He's packed his own bag... It's got a box of tissues, 2 Jerilderie footy jumpers, a digital camera, 2 story books, a spare t-shirt, a Dorothy the dinosaur toy, 2 odd socks, a Doona cover and pillow case, a Geelong footy jumper, one of Lucy's nappies, a spiderman toy, a whistle and a pair of shorts...

We packed another bag with some complementary items and then packed the stuffed toys. They take up more space than the rest of the packing all together!

J has a roof Mum

Breakky time this morning had a big surprise for me.
First of all, I delivered the 'coffee' to the kids in the usual way... That is, Lucy has the yellow cup and James has the blue cup. Since the moment Jacqui bought them these cups the effort at gender neutrality has been wasted.
Back then I tried to explain that their names were on the opposite cups but they weren't concerned with minor details like that and the color has stuck.

Until today...

I came back after getting my REAL coffee to find James drinking out of the yellow cup, and saying it says James so that's his cup now. He then tells me the first letter is J and picks up a crayon and draws it!

He asked how to write the rest of his name and I started to write it to show him... But apparently i can't do it right and very quickly I was advised that Js have a roof Mum.

And then it was over and they're off throwing toys around the lounge room...

Sunlight and fresh air...

The sun has been missing for the last week or so and the foggy and frosty mornings have dampened our spirits...
The sun broke out today so 4 loads of washing and a walk/bike ride was how we took full advantage! Just got to teach the little one how to use her legs on a bike.  She much prefers to be a passenger!!!!
