Photos at the local Pharmacy - 4 months old

Here's the latest installment of photos from the Pharmacy... James was 4 months old...

The funny hand positions are due to the lady having to pull his hands out of his mouth just before each photo... And that's why he has a shiny, drooly chin!!!!

Finn's Christening

We had a quick trip to Canberra on the weekend for Finn's Christening.

Early Sunday morning, Blake, Dean, Betty and Hayden met us for a quick coffee in Manuka.

It was great to catch up with my cousins and to see Hayden now that he's walking and talking.

We snapped this with the phone camera while we were there...

Unfortunately, Matt & I had a 'useless moment' and forgot the camera for the Christening but again used Matt's phone to take a couple of pics afterwards at Em & Pat's place.

Charlotte & James being held by Carla & Nan

The babies...

James, Charlotte & man of the moment, Finn, with their mummies (me, Carla & Emma)

Finn is the oldest by 5 days (26th March), next is Charlotte (31st March), and then James is 1 day younger than Charlotte (1st April)... Emma & Carla are best friends from way back so it's been pretty special for them having babies at the same time, and for me also, sharing the experience with my sister-in-law as well as Carla, as our babies were born a little over 24 hours apart in the same hospital!!!!
This is a photo taken by Carla and Sam when Charlotte was 2 days old and James was 1 day old. Seems sooooooo long ago!!! Haven't they grown?????

A Hard Day's Work

You know that saying, "A picture paints a thousand words"??????

Well let these pictures do the talking for how hard Matt worked today... Needless to say, James & I are green with envy!!!!

Falls Creek, Victoria

Todd falling over... Matt said this happened a fair bit! It was his first day skiing though, and he ended the day by doing a blue run (that unbeknown to them became a black run!!!)

___________________________

Well i must admit that my day today was spend working extremely hard on the slops at Falls Creek. Todd a mate of mine from Bathurst travelled down on Thursday night and stayed with us. We got up at 5.30 this morning packed the car and trekked the 1 and 1/2hr journey up the mountain where it was a chilly minus 3 degrees. Although pretty cold and snowing most of the day the snow up there this year is absolutely awesome and we had a fantastic day. It was Todd's first time skiing and he really picked it up quickly, but i must admit he had a very astute teacher in myself. We spent the morning mastering the green runs and teaching Todd the finer points like stopping. After a minor mishap involving my ski poles and the chair lift (let's say the chair lift won and i'm not sure how the rental shop will view the broken poles in the morning) we stopped play for an early lunch. After lunch we ventured back to the summit and tackled some blue runs. This was great fun and Todd was improving with every run. We decided that their was a nice long blue run in the international section so up we ventured. When we got to the top the map had tricked us and it was all black runs so poor Todd was forced to progress fast. Fortunately we made it to the bottom safely, Todd decided he'd had enough but i needed a little more fix so went off on my own for the next forty five minutes. At 4.15 pm we headed for home after a great fun day and arrived back to Jane and James just before 6 pm. I wish every work day was that much fun. It looks like there will be snow up there at least until the end of September so if anyone is interested let me know i'd love to go again.

James & Finn out for lunch...

We had lunch with Nan, Pa, Aunty Em & Finn in Yarrawonga yesterday. James and Finn have reached an age where they can regard each other and, judging by the video footage, they're impressed with what they see. So were their respective parents and grandparents!!!!

Mothers Group Update

Mothers Group in Wodonga has been going strong while I've been away, and they've started to meet on a Friday for a cuppa as well as Tuesday lunch.

Today was my turn to host the get-together so here's a photo of some of the kids lined up!!!

Chelsea, James, Maddie, Austin, & Charlotte

And we also head off to the local cinema on the first Monday of the month to the Babes-In-Arms movie screening... The choice for August left a bit to be desired with the LOUD and then soft soundtrack of Hancock resulting in an unsettled James and we left after 10 minutes. He's a fast mover though and had already sidled up to Charlotte for a cuddle...

James Rolling Over

FINALLY I've got footage of James rolling over.

He's been rolling for about a month - he started 3 days before Matt went overseas and showed him once before he set off. I was a bit excited when it happened the first time - I rang Matt in the middle of his cattle sale!

Then James performed his new trick for Nanna, Grandpa and his Aunties in Coffs Harbour, as well as for Uncle Paul on Skype while Matt was staying with him. However, every time I set the video camera up to film him rolling, he was too fascinated with the camera to perform!!!!

Mission accomplished this morning though - here's the proof...

(8.8.08 - still having trouble uploading the video... Am going to call in the big guns and ask Leigh for help...)
