Funny bunnies!

Here is some evidence of the silliness that goes on in our house!!!

"Look Mum, no hands!"

As the saying goes, if the shoes fit...

And had to sneak this one in taken as Matt was heading off to the Barnawartha Football Club Masquerade Ball tonight - I thought it better that I stayed at home ;)

A windy day...

James' cubby looked like this in April 2009...

And now it looks like this... :(

We had a mini cyclone hit town yesterday and, wow, did it do some damage. Fortunately the cubby was our only casualty. And I've already made plans for Dad & Matt in the September school holidays to build a replacement ;) ...

Pharmacy Photos - 4 months

Didn't realise they were going to use the white background so poor Lucy looks a little washed out with her white/denim combination!

And it is up to Jacqui to recreate the mood and scene for the 5 month shots. We'll be somewhere a bit more exciting than the pharmacy...

Poor Cedric!

This June long weekend has been our first opportunity to go for a farm stay at Nan & Pa Tinkler's since Lucy was born! James had a little stay on his own a couple of weeks ago so knew who was who, and what was what, from the minute we arrived. And that included poor old lab Cedric! He certainly had more than his share of James' attention!!!!

James also has taken quite a liking to the 'chookens' which are housed about 50m from the farmhouse. The sneaky little man woke up from an afternoon nap and quietly slipped out of the house while I was snoozing, and Nan was getting ready for work to find those chookens and gave all of us a HUGE fright! That'll teach me for trying to steal a daytime nap! Nan found him within a minute and hollered for him to come back. By the time I got there I saw a little drowsy boy, barefoot, sucking his dummy and dragging Ronnie behind him as he walked back to the house...

Lucy just played...

and had a nice toasty warm bath on the coffee table in front of the roaring woodfire.

Not a bad life hey!!!!

Mothercare anyone?

Well my Mum's obsession with the UK brand Mothercare has worn off on Kate and Lucy has been endowed with some gorgeous little girly clothes.
One of the cutest items so far has been this little padded winter jacket. She's on the verge of growing out of it so we had a fashion photography shoot the other day... kind of ;)

My goodness!

After a week of early early rising, we wondered if Lucy's early morning call for feeding might be contributing to James' 4am starts. So we played 'changing rooms', swapping the guest room and Lucy's room to place her (and her voice) a little further away from James, with the toilet and shower in between.

James arrived home from a day at Bumble Bees to ask his normal question whenever someone is not in view...

James: "Where did Lucy go?"
Me: "She's in her room asleep"
(off he goes, faster than I can catch him, opens up the now spare room door and takes in the scene - double bed assembled but not made, boxes on the bed and on the floor, and some of Lucy's belongings scattered on the floor)
James: "My goodness"

Laughing hysterically, I reported this story to Matt who then remembers a little "My goodness" piping up from the back seat as he took a roundabout a little quickly on the way home the day before!

And we're now singing in the car - all the time! We used to have Justine Clarke on high rotation but lately the little man has decided he likes the sound of his voice better. So we sing ABC, Humpty Dumpty, Hickory Dickory, Twinkle Star, Baa baa sheep and so on... No one is safe from the singing though... James dictates who and when - "Daddy sing, Mummy sing, no more Mummy sing, Jamey sing... And between songs we get "Mmmmm how about... "

Here's hoping singing helps make the annual winter trip to Coffs pass quickly!
