Floods in Coffs

I've had a few people contact me to ask if Mum & Dad have been affected by the floods in Coffs and the short answer is yes.

Unfortunately, Mum & Dad copped the full brunt of the floods and have a thick layer of mud throughout the entire house. There's been a fair bit of irreparable damage (carpets, the kick boards and skirting boards, everything that was sitting on the ground and I think the garage roller door) and alot of rearranging of unsecured outside stuff by Mother Nature.

Mum, Dad, Jacqui, Kate and Kate's friend Jes were all away from home when it happened and only realised what was happening as they were all blocked from returning home in their respective cars... Kate and Jes being up there from Sydney means that there's many hands on deck to sweep all of the yukky mud out of the tiled areas to allow all of the furniture to be moved off the soggy carpets.

There's action already on the restoration with the insurance and carpet men in there today.
It feels like a long way away from here as we can't help at all. We're so glad everyone's safe but we're shattered that it happened.
