Way way way back at the start of December, we had an opportunity we couldn't resist. Our great friends Tania and Craig, and their 2 gorgeous kids Jake and Sophie, live in Mornington. Which is 30 minutes from where the cubby we gave the kids for Christmas was made and ready for pick up!!! And when you're driving 4 hours to pick up a cubby, why not drive a further 30 minutes and make it worthwhile!!!!
We were only there for the night but it was a great time to catch up with longtime friends (I met Tarn through netball back in Shepparton in 2004 and the 4 of us have made sure we've stayed mates despite moving at least 200kms apart, and sometimes living as much as 400kms apart!!!) We might only catch up once a year so our kids seem to grow in year long blocks! It was a little crazy to have 2 boisterous boys and 2 little girls (the biggest of the little girls was being a little rough with her counterpart but I'm sure in time Sophie will give it right on back!)
I've really clocked past that embarrassingly long time before posting photos from an event, but figured that Tarn and Craig would love to see them anyway so 3 months late is better than never hey?
Mornington beach... It wasn't hot but the kids wanted to splash anyway...
