Our birds...

We live in a rural sort of estate on the fringe of town and are blessed with little flying visitors to our garden every now and then...

We decided to be a little more proactive and we are looking into a wild-bird feeder to place in the garden. Matt has a plan for design and it's going to take a little while to get it ready so in the meantime we've hung a wild bird seed block from our rain gauge. And boy, do they love it!!!

These little fellas (above and below) are yellow rosellas and these 2 visit every morning between about 7.30 and 8.30...

And these crimson rosellas have only been a couple of times, but they prefer the late afternoon snack, about 4.30ish...

This garden bed is a couple of metres from our dining area windows and it sure beats morning television to watch with a cuppa and breakky!
