Preparations started Friday night... (I loved making the cake! It was so much fun!!!!)
Here's Ronnie the cake!
And the cake again with the inspiration... Ronnie the cow!
Happy birthday time... James enjoyed the singing...
Two pretty proud parents with a happy little boy.
Yummo!!!!!
Jacqui worked hard making these gorgeous teddy bear biscuits
And then the games started...
Ella & Lily being '3-legged' with Kez as balance, Matt with Seth in the background.
Matt dragging Seth down ;-)
But making up for it in the 4-legged race!!!
Mike played it safe and by the rules with Jack & Lily. And rightly so!
Here's the crowd in the stands barracking for the kids (and the big kids)
James with Nan & Pa Tinkler
Cuddles with big cousin Ella
And aunty Kez & big cousin Jack
Look what Jack started!!!
Kids ball pit fun. James had a ball throwing the balls out one by one!
Some of the girls from my Mum's group with their little bubbas. The cubby house on the back right is what we gave James for his birthday.
But we should have just given him this bubble machine! What a hit!
And then it was pack up time. Kate and I took close to half an hour to put these b*#*dy balls back in their bags. Won't be borrowing this from work again without good reason!!!
It was a great day, only missing a couple of essential ingredients...

What a wonderful day with lots of things to remember. Sounds like there was fun for all. We were thinking of you all at 12 noon and were certainly with you in spirit. We'll celebrate his birthday at Easter. Love to you all.
You are fantastic parents for the day you put on for James. It is so obvious he had a terrific day and may he enjoy being one !!! Love to all
Impressive Jane and Matt!!! What a great party you had for James - wish we could have been there...I would have liked to compete in some of those races (and try that cake mmm).
Cake - Awesome work Jane! He is very fond of his Ronnie. I bet it was a hit!
Beautiful photos of James with the bubbles. They are so much fun.
