We received 2 exciting phone calls on Friday: The first saying council had (finally!!!!) approved the house; and the 2nd saying our finance was approved.
Liaising with the builder, we were even more excited to find out that there was a place on the excavating schedule for us to have our site levelled 3 working days later, on Tuesday the 20th October!
So today, after a beautiful lunch for my friend Katy's big 3-0 at the local nursery cafe, we thought we'd swing by the block and take a photo before the work started.
Too late!!!!! We arrived to a freshly excavated building site - done ahead of schedule (that's got to be rare for building a house!!!!!) and on a Saturday to boot!!!!
We've taken some pics for the memories but hopefully they give a bit of an idea of where you'll all visit in the near future ;)
Standing on the North East corner of the block looking towards our road.
Looking straight down the Western boundary (40m long)
The top soil at the back of the block (northern boundary) - approx 27 m long
Gardeners welcome to visit anytime ;)
Standing on the North Western boundary - the house will sit to the right of this image and the back/side yards will be to the left.

Woweee, its all happening, so excited for you guys!! So what are you neighbours like...any dogs kickin' around hehe
No dogs Ange! And that's lucky considering there's no fences either!!!!! We are VERY excited!!! Stay tuned for more updates than you ever thought possible!!!
So excited for you all. It's going to be a big year!!
The photos mean so much more now that I've seen the block and have stood where your house is going to be.
Had a great week last week with you and already miss you all. xxoo
That is very exciting - and must be an absolute first! Builders (in my experience) are never on schedule, let alone ahead!
Word of advice, don't torture yourself with too may visits in one week! We had to look at our vacant block / extremely slow house building every single day. TORTURE! Especially when you have a big deadline! :)
